I’m Matt Niemitz.
I founded the Adobe Education Exchange and grew it to more than a million educators, then led product at Skillshare. Waypoint started in 2024 as a consultancy. Now it’s where I build. Outside of work I make maps out of hand-cut felt and cook for a supper club in Atlanta.
How I build
These days I build small consumer apps on my own, with AI tools doing most of the engineering. Claude Code, Next.js, Supabase, and Vercel are my usual stack. Some apps stick around, some get retired, and each one gets a write-up here about what I learned.
Before the studio
Waypoint began as a product consultancy, helping education and mission-driven organizations, including Clean Catalog, Amend, CreatorUp, and CareerVillage.org, with growth strategy, research, and program design.
